The Gallery
Studio Connexion is a Fine Arts Gallery in the heart of Nakusp, showcasing local talent and other artists from across Canada. Originally a boutique selling antique reproduction furniture, Studio Connexion evolved into a Fine Art Gallery which hosts a number of art exhibitions each year. It is a cultural space promoting visual art in the Arrow Lakes region and the West Kootenays.
The Curator
Born in the heart of Québec, Anne Béliveau is the owner and curator of Studio Connexion. Anne moved out west to immerse herself in an English speaking community. Following a career in education, Anne took an early retirement to focus on her new venture. Her love of visual arts is expressed in the quaint space that is Studio Connexion. By operating the only commercial Art Gallery on the Arrow Lakes, Anne provides the community of Nakusp with a cultural space to promote Fine Art.
The Community
Located in the beautiful Arrow Lakes Valley, the community of Nakusp is a safe haven for a variety of artists. Local talent exhibited at the Gallery includes work by Betty Fahlman, Brigitte Desbois, Denise Marshall, Karen Coon, and Barbara Maye. The many scenic vistas inspire the Plein Air and studio artists alike.
